IMPLEMENTING PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES

SYSTEMIC PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT

The Institute of Performance is an innovative online environment that offers training professionals powerful programs to enhance their performance improvement activities. Our unique approach provides trainers, coaches, and performance consultants flexible tools to shape their own teaching and learning interventions. When performance drops, it is essential to identify the underlying reasons. A carefully implemented performance analysis is the best action to isolate the real causes from useless assumptions. Performance improvement is a systemic process of identifying the root causes of a performance problem and implementing solutions to resolve that issue.

THE FUTURE OF PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT

THE NEXT PHASE IN PERFORMANCE DEVELOPMENT

The Competency Performance System™ is the next phase in the continuous development of the Value of Investment (VOI). It provides the standards for the creation, implementation, transfer, and measurement of competency and performance-based training and learning activities. It serves as quality assurance, makes the qualitative benefit measurable, and uncovers the true value of training and learning.

SYSTEM PROVIDERS BEAT THE COMPETITION

Training institutes and training professionals must continuously improve their competitiveness by offering added value for their customers. This is not easy because the training industry is experiencing an increasing alignment of programs, products and services in terms of quality, technology, price and presentation. Therefore, competitive differentiation is becoming increasingly difficult. Our research results clearly show that service providers are more and more positioning themselves as system providers. They offer systems that enable them to have an exclusive market presence. This does not include systems based on a fashion trend or buzzwords. These are really new and innovative systems that accomplish what they claim to perform.

THE COMPETENCY PERFORMANCE SYSTEM™

Training & Development are associated with considerable financial investments. That is why it is absolutely necessary to use quality assurance tools. The Competency Performance System™ is the most important component of competency-based training and learning. It guarantees that the right competencies are trained and that their increase and the resulting performance improvement are accurately measured. Quality cannot be left to chance. It is not enough to create a “Learning Scorecard” and to calculate the ROI of a training project. New in-depth methods are required to measure the Value of Investment (VOI) in a meaningful way. For the long-term success of any training and development intervention, it is essential to put the qualitative benefit over the monetary benefit of a project.
