SAN DIEGO WORKSHOP
Composition & TechnicalComposition & Technical
In this workshop, Michael leads you step by step through the critical thinking process necessary to ‘make’, not just take, a photograph worth looking at. You’ll learn the principles to captivate your audience with well-thought-out images. He’ll give you the ‘map’ you have been missing to make your ‘art’ pop. It’s not just luck, it’s a skill, and he will pass this experience on to you.
NAPA WORKSHOP
Advanced CompositionAdvanced Composition
During the Napa workshop, you will learn the basics of advanced thought processes to make strong art. Michael will critique the art you have made and show you how to convert your ‘old shots’ into award winners. It’s a sort of magic Michael will perform with his advanced knowledge of how to create strong compositions. You too will have this ability, to some degree, after this workshop.
CARMEL WORKSHOP
Advanced CompositionAdvanced Composition
Get lots of one-on-one time with Michael during this workshop. Trips to various locations are taken, including a gallery tour where Michael critiques the work. You also go to Point Lobos Reserve and work there, as well as the ‘Barnyard’ in Carmel Valley. Some go out to Big Sur to shoot streams and verdant green, moss-covered trees/forests, as well as the beautiful beach waterfall at Julia Pfeifer State Park.
